Steve has 15 years recent experience working as an executive advisor consultant in the energy business plus 32 years of service with the Royal Dutch Shell Group of Companies in the domestic and international upstream sector. He served as CEO for Sakhalin Energy Investment Company, living in Russia where he led his company to execute the first offshore and LNG development project ever attempted in Russia. Under his leadership, Sakhalin Energy and its shareholders (Shell, Mitsui & Mitsubishi) reached a positive final investment decision for a $10+ billion integrated oil and LNG development project to construct one of the largest and most complex grass-roots oil and gas development projects ever attempted in the world.

Steve also served as VP Production for all of Shell’s domestic USA operations including the offshore Gulf of Mexico and COO for Altura Energy Ltd., a Shell-Amoco-BP partnership for E&P operations in the Permian Basin of West Texas and New Mexico. Previously he worked in assignments of increasing engineering, operations and planning responsibilities in most of Shell’s domestic USA onshore and offshore oil & gas portfolio.

Steve joined Shell in 1973 in Los Angeles, California after graduating from the University of Missouri, Rolla with a BS degree in Civil Engineering..
