John is fascinated by how organizations work - by how teams discover their potential and the way in which innovation happens. He has been pursuing this passion ever since he was introduced to continuous improvement efforts in the automotive sector in the UK in 1995.

Shackleton's expedition recovering from near tragedy in the Antarctic, Leicester City overcoming the odds to win the English Premier League, the Cubs winning the 2016 World Series, startups like Slack that transition from accidentally developing a collaboration tool to taking on Microsoft in only a few years - these are all examples of stories that propel John's curiosity in organizational performance.

John joined Evolve in 2005 and has partnered with most of our clients' leadership teams on their biggest transformation efforts since then. In addition to his client facing role he led Evolve's Canadian operations in Calgary until 2015. Over his 20-year career in the improvement and innovation space he has worked with clients in oil, gas, chemicals, utility and healthcare sectors as well as co-founding a Strategy and Design firm in NYC.

John has a B.A. (hons) in Political Science from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.

He lives in the US Midwest with his wife and two sons.
