Julie Gray
Vice President, People Development

Julie Gray is VP, People Development. In this role she has accountability for ensuring Evolve has effective processes and systems for consultant capability development and for quality assurance on programs. In this role, Julie also leads Evolve’s focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Julie continues to work with clients to support effective program delivery and account development.

If there is one saying that has resonated with Julie throughout her career, it’s the notion that “You are every 1-to-1 you have ever had.” Every interaction is meaningful, both in the moment and for years beyond. Julie’s consulting career began not in business but by working with people who had addiction issues. Since those formative years helping people change for the better as a psychologist, she has spent more than 20 years in consulting. She thrives on the exposure consulting provides to diversity in perceptions, motivations, values and cultures that drive how people behave and is passionate about the development of people within Evolve and the clients we partner with. Julie is highly experienced in the Energy, Manufacturing, Automotive, Life Sciences, Utilities and Private Equity industries. Over the course of her career, she has worked on projects across Europe, South Africa, South America, the Caribbean, Canada and the US learning about the various factors that influence how people behave both at work and in society and applying these learnings to help drive improvements and develop leaders in organizations at all levels.

Born and raised in Scotland, Julie has chosen to make her home in the US — first in New York City and now in Los Angeles. She enjoys hiking, music, the theater and films — her passion for the latter led her to complete a Certificate in Feature Film Writing at UCLA Extension. Julie earned her BSc in Psychology from the University of Stirling and an MSc in Organizational Psychology from the University of Sheffield.
